My Vetiver Initiation Balm is BACK! It was handcrafted right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters with pure vetiver essential oil and a skin-nourishing balm base of babassu oil, beeswax, cocoa beans, avocado butter, and shea butter. Vetiver, also known as Ruh Khus, has a centuries-long history in India and Asia. It provides a powerful sense of balance for the mind, body, and soul. It’s my favorite essential oil for grounding. This sacred balm was made with a proprietary blend of ingredients, all of which are 100% natural and skin-safe. Our balms are elevated compared to other brands because we don’t take the easy route – instead of using a high ratio of beeswax, we combine different kinds of butter and make this blend with 100% essential oils. Each container of this balm is sprinkled with vetiver and infused with a clear quartz point to amplify its magical properties. Vetiver is a holy herb that has its name etched in the oldest Hindu sacred book, the Bhagavad Gita. In it, Lord Krishna says, “I am the fragrance of the soil,” reminding us that the Creator is present in all things. In India, it was placed on funeral pyres as a symbol of reincarnation.
In addition to its grounding properties, vetiver also induces lucid dreaming and deep sleep. Its long, thick roots and earthy fragrance offer protection, rooting you deeply into Mother Earth and can bring your unconscious thoughts forward into reality. This sounds really weird but my fiance has some deodorant that smells like vetiver so I would always smell it (not his armpit, I could smell it sitting next to him) when we would sit and watch tv or go to bed because he always has his arms over his head. I always felt grounded and relaxed, Then I saw this and had to try it. I put this on whenever I am feeling stressed and I really feel grounded and relaxed. This is the best vetiver I have ever smelled.

When I opened this up I expected to be overwhelmed with scent, like opening a bottle of men’s cologne. But SG has made this product with the most gentle and sexy scent. And in a nutshell, that is what I love so very much about Athena’s perfume creations. They gently drift off the body and cast their spell over those walking by. And this Vetiver balm does it so well. Thank you SG for a wonderful product.
