African bloodstone, also known as setonite, is primarily found in South Africa. Bloodstone is my personal favorite gem for pain relief and my go-to stone for healing of any kind. It’s a variety of deep-green chalcedony, a crypto-crystalline quartz, with red jasper flecks. The drops of red that look like blood are really just iron oxide inclusions. Palm stones are the perfect pieces to keep close. Their smooth finish makes them easy to transport, and you can keep them on you at any time. Work with this piece to summon powerful healing on all levels.
