Even from their earliest inception, runes were used exclusively as a magical and ritual language – an elite practice reserved for magical practitioners. Runes are derived from an ancient alphabet that dates back about 18,000 years, the origins of which can be heard in Celtic and Viking languages. These magical tools serve as guides that bring clarity and awareness in regards to our spiritual path.
Within this offering, you will find 24 leather cards – one for each symbol in the Futhark rune alphabet. Each of these 24 symbols represents a different archetype, including strength, journey, protection, growth, breakthrough, joy, and more. Please note that this deck is made of genuine leather, which will change with usage and time.

Working with runes is a powerful way to connect with the ancient wisdom of the Old Ways – and having the chance to experience their magic is an extraordinary privilege. Runes have been used in many magical ways since the beginning of recorded history. They serve as a primordial form of psychological assessment, and were cast and read by oracles in very much the same way we use Tarot cards or the I Ching.
When drawing from your deck, you must tap into your intuition for interpretation. Your runes will personally speak to you, and over time, you will become comfortable alchemizing the combination of traditional interpretations with the intimate messages that are being shared just for you.
With your deck, you will also receive one (1) wooden box, printed with the Helm of Awe and adorned with a carnelian stone. The Helm of Awe is one of the most mysterious and powerful symbols in Norse mythology. Used in Viking mythology and symbology for centuries, the Helm of Awe was thought to protect and empower warriors in battle. Now, some of this ancient Viking magic can be yours.
