She’s also the goddess of life and death and is considered the leader of the Valkyrie – the goddesses who choose the fate of heroic warriors from battlefields. Freyja is famously depicted riding her chariot drawn by two cats across the burning rainbow bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. Each bottle is infused with a carnelian chip stone for increased energy, endurance, and empowerment. Freyja is my matron goddess so of course I had to purchase this. It wasn’t as woodsy as I expected but it’s compelling and attractive nonetheless. This definitely hits both feminine and warrior notes. It’s similar to Rising Phoenix in the lush, sultry warmth of the scent which is the main scent even after dry down. The fir is extremely subtle and merely supportive to the main gentle muskiness. I personally prefer citrus, slightly woodsy, and brighter scents so I don’t have too many sultry scents. But this takes a hint of 1001 Nights and smooths it down so it’s not quite so in-your-face sensual and sultry. It’s similar to scents that have amber in them but I’d say it’s closest to Rising Phoenix. I think it will be absolutely smashing to blend other SG scents with. I get a clear sense this perfume plays well with others. But wear it alone to tap into your own inviolable and unique sensuality. It’s got room enough for whatever is of your own essence and no one else’s.
