My newest blend, Devi Perfume, is a tribute to Gaia, Mother Earth, Pachamama, the one with many names. This blend embodies the grounding, nourishing, and creative energies of Devi, the Mother Goddess. It’s a perfect perfume to adorn yourself and your gems with on Earth Day – and beyond. Devi is a Hindu goddess of radiant beauty that represents womanhood and the creation of the Earth. Her strength is found in her embodiment of all feminine aspects and she’s just as powerful as Shiva and Vishnu. Devi, incarnated as Sarasvati, is also the goddess of learning and music and brings fortune and success. This blend has notes of tea tree, African musk, hibiscus, and thyme, infused with a tanzanite chip stone for spiritual protection and compassion. It’s deep, rich, grounding, and earthy. Additionally, this perfume includes a VERY special ingredient, mukhallat supreme attar, an undiluted oil originally from India that’s made from sacred temple flowers. The deeper magic of my Devi Perfume
My Devi Perfume is a fragrant blend of tea tree, African musk, hibiscus, thyme, and mukhallat supreme attar. Known as the “herb of the angels,” tea tree has been used by all major religions throughout history in protective rites. This beautifully fragrant oil is a powerful source of purification and protection and clears your space of negative vibrations. African musk is grounding and a great oil to work with during meditation. It’s calming, deeply sensual, and connects you to your inner strength. Hibiscus helps you relax and is associated with love, lust, and deep attraction. Thyme is an herb of remembrance. It supports the process of releasing and forgiving, is purifying, enhances psychic powers, and renews energy. Mukhallat supreme attar symbolizes ancient spiritual wisdom and timelessness. I’ve always worn perfume, oil, something – until I got pregnant with my daughter in the Fall of 2015 and then I couldn’t stand the smell of anything. She turns 5 next month and about a year ago I took out my perfumes and oils again. My preferences have shifted a bit, I normally gravitate to vanilla, musk, sandalwood types but over the past few months I’ve started to embrace patchouli. Having said all that when I read the description of Devi I added it to my cart without any hesitation, I don’t really know why but the description just spoke to me. It arrived yesterday and in the middle of allergy chaos I put it in the drawer and didn’t think about it. This morning I had to wear it, hadn’t even smelled it yet and had to wear it. I opened it and went back and forth between “nope don’t think so and maybe I might just love it”, put some on and I LOVE it. It has evolved through the morning, never loosing it’s intensity and depth. Right now it has a “powdery” quality to it but not really, hard to describe, my guess is it’s the African musk and Makhallat attar but then there is something else coming through.
It’s a beautiful oil and one I think I will wear often. Finances permitting I will order a second bottle and stash it in a cool dark place. I’d compare it something but honestly it doesn’t come close to anything in my Sage Goddess collection of oils.
