Incorporate this NEW Authentic Kansa Foot Massage Bowl into your self-care rituals to calm your mind and harmonize your body. This golden healing tool was custom-made for Sage Goddess from pure brass and features the SG logo on the bottom of the bowl. Kansa massage tools have been used in Ayurveda practices to help balance the doshas, detoxification, improve circulation, ease stress, and aid sleep. Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc. It’s believed to help eliminate toxins in the body and boosts courage and confidence.
Rub this massage tool, applying comfortable pressure, on the soles of your feet in circular and eight-figure motions, side to side, across your toes, and on the top to release toxins in the body. We recommend applying your favorite massage oil, lotion, or balm when working with this bowl. You may notice discoloration of the oil as you massage your feet – an indicator that your body is detoxing. This piece is perfect to work with before bed to help you relax and improve energy flow as you sleep. It also pairs beautifully with my Ultimate Body Relief Balm.
The deeper magic of this Authentic Kansa Foot Massage Bowl
Kansa is a Hindi word for bronze. It was regarded as a durable metal during the Bronze Age and the Harappans, the Indus valley peoples, created the Kansa. The Kansa was used to make beautiful traditional bowls for wedding gifts, gongs, bells, housewares, sacred statutes, armors, and more. It was also believed to have great healing properties and was incorporated into Ayurveda treatments.
Ayurveda is an ancient health system developed by sages in India thousands of years ago, and a primary Ayurvedic teaching is the idea of doshic balance. Doshas are the energies that govern each individual’s makeup. We all have a dominant dosha that indicates our unique energy patterns and influences our respective physical, mental, emotional, and relational characteristics. Vata translates to ‘wind’ and reflects ether and air elements. Pitta translates to ‘fire’ and reflects the transformative nature of fire elements. Kapha translates to ‘water’ and reflects the binding nature of water elements.
