The deeper magic of this Campo del Cielo Meteorite
Campo del Cielo Meteorite is an authentic meteorite fragment mined in Argentina, where a meteorite crashed in the Pre-Columbian era. The indigenous people tell the story of a meteorite falling from the sky in a place they called Piguem Nonralta, which translates as Campo del Cielo, or “Field of the Sky”. Rediscovered by the Spanish in the 1500s, the fragments found so far exceed 60 tons, making it the heaviest meteorite ever discovered on Earth. When these meteorites were first discovered, the Spanish assumed they were a form of silver, and brought back samples that were described as being of unusual purity. It was eventually forgotten until 1774 when Bartolome Francisco de Maguna followed the legends and rediscovered them. Maguna dubbed it “el Meson de Fierro,” or “the Table of Iron” because he believed it was the tip of an iron vein. There it sat until 1783 when another expedition used explosives to clear the ground around it, and they discovered that it was actually a single mass. Samples were then sent to the Royal Society of London where it was finally acknowledged as having meteoritic origins.

This stone is high vibrational, yet isn’t Zingy like Moldavite. I could see the meteorite in space and then shatter entering the atmosphere and hitting Earth. It’s interesting. I have yet to meditate with it.

This is a great specimen to work with. I don’t have a strong connection to Moldivate but I absolutely love this Meteorite Specimen. Its buzzy and grounding. When I’m restless it helps me to fall asleep and stay asleep.
